Join the Oklahoma Defense Industry Association for a one-of-a-kind breakfast briefing featuring the Commanding Officer and crew of the future USS Oklahoma (SSN-802) — the Navy's next-generation Virginia-class fast attack submarine currently under construction at Newport News Shipbuilding. As the 29th Virginia-class submarine and the lead ship of the Block V variant, SSN-802 represents a leap forward in firepower, stealth, and deep-water capability — and she bears Oklahoma's name. 

Retired Rear Admiral Greg Slavonic will moderate a fireside chat with the Skipper and sailors about the road to commissioning and what it means to carry the Sooner State's legacy beneath the waves.

We'll also hear from leaders of the USS Oklahoma Commissioning Committee, the dedicated group working to fund the christening ceremony and build a lasting foundation of support for the sailors and their families through scholarships and long-term assistance programs. Learn how Oklahoma's defense community can be part of this historic moment — and what it means for the generations of crew members who will serve under this great name.
